The Pencil Skirt

I have recently fallen in love with skirts, especially the pencil skirt. My preferred choice is the midi length and looks good on most people. It is very flattering and in my opinion it is both sexy & classy and can be dressed up or down. For myself, I like the midi length pencil skirt because I am 5”9½ with long legs and I am sat in a wheelchair, so skirts will come up shorter.

Something that I have to think about, sitting in a wheel chair, is that it gives the appearance of your hips and thighs appearing wider… I do also have a big bust, this combination results in me having an hourglass looking shape – so why not take advantage of that?

I prefer to wear a pattern or colour on my bottom half when I am wearing a darker colour on top, because it balances out my top and bottom half, therefore looking less top heavy. My wheelchair is also black and I would rather stand out from my wheelchair, emphasising my curves because after all I am still a woman.

These are just some of my favourite pencil skirts available on the high street right now.
