My Body Victory Campaign with Curvy Kate

 

 

 

As a Blogger/Influencer you are often contacted by brands and invited to be part of campaigns or possible collaborations. Which is exactly what happened at the end of June when I was contacted by lingerie & swimwear brand Curvy Kate that specialises in cup sizes D-K.

They were doing campaign called ‘My Body Victory’. The aim was to have 6 women all different races, shapes, sizes and abilities in a body positive group and individual photoshoot. Wearing their Victory underwear set, the photoshoot was followed by individual interviews about our body victory and body positivity.

 

It was a long day, but I had loads of fun. All the Curvy Kate staff members on the shoot were welcoming, the photographers were easy to work with, the MUA did an excellent job on my glam and the studio we were using was fabulous. The other influencers were lovely, considering we all met for the 1st time that day we all got on well. We had a good old laugh!

 

 

 

We all got to keep the underwear and, to be honest, I think I am going to buy some in other colours because they are so comfy.

Body positivity is very important to me, probably because growing up and most of my early adulthood I had very low self-esteem. In the last 8 years I have accepted my new life as a wheelchair user and in turn my confidence has grown. I mainly put this down to the fact that I stopped comparing myself to others and embraced the body I have little by little.

 

I am thrilled about being part of this campaign, as I am all about body positivity. I think it is important for our own mental wellbeing.
