Friday 14th – Tuesday 18th September 2018
Attending fashion shows at London Fashion Week (LFW) has always been a dream of mine since I was a little girl. Earlier in the year I was fortunate to attend two AW18 presentation shows in one day, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. However, I didn’t want it to be a one-off experience, I wanted to do it again, and attend runway shows & presentations on more days.
Thankfully my prayers were answered, and I received multiple invites for both runway shows and presentation shows for LFW SS19. It was amazing! My diary was full of shows & events, and I had my cousin @justkamphotography_ to be my photographer for 3 out of the 4 days I attended of the 5-day events. I was over the moon.
It was the 1st day of LFW and I attended the shows on my own. I was excited but because I was going on my own I was also a little nervous. I really had no need to have been nervous because the people at the shows were very friendly, and I had my photo taken be photographers and was also interviewed. So, it was a great 1st day.

DDFC x FAD – Three Fifty Nine – Runway show at Freemasons hall
I met this lovely guy who had been working in the UK for a few days and decided to take a two-day holiday in London before going back home to Israel. We had a couple drinks in between shows. I am not sure how but he manged to see a DDFC x FAD fashion show. To be honest, I am not sure he is who he said he is…
Ashley Isham – Runway show at Freemasons hall
It was a busy day going from show to show. I attended the shows with my photographer, so we also did some photoshoots in between shows. We saw some cool shows and had so much fun. It was a great way to spend a Saturday!

Being a Sunday there was a more laid-back atmosphere. Although the shows were still full, there were not as many photographers or fashionistas hanging around the venues as the previous days.
Designer show rooms at 180 Strand
Starsica – Runway show at Free Masons hall
It was my last day of LFW SS19 and it certainly had a Monday feeling to it. With people including my myself following up business leads in between shows as well as photoshoots.
Edeline Lee – Presentation show at 180 Strand
Jayne Pierson – Runway show at Greek street
I had an amazing time at London Fashion Week SS19. The slogan for LFW SS19 was #positivefashion with a lot of designers making sustainable, vegan friendly products and of course banning real fur.
It was great meeting and being around people that have the same passion and love fashion as I do. Some people say fashion is only about what you look like and vanity. Yet, as wheelchair user I felt really welcomed, no one questioned why I was there, and I didn’t have to justify myself. If only there were the same levels of acceptance of diversity regarding models with disabilities, in their wheelchairs wheeling down the catwalk in the fashion shows, because that would be #positivefashion.
