Westfield is one of my favourite places to go and it is only a 10 minute wheel/walk away from my house. This is very handy! Whether it’s going to a restaurant for a bite to eat, having a drink at one of the many bars, watching a film at the Vue cinema or hitting the shops for some retail therapy it is a place I enjoy visiting. Most weekends there is some sort of entertainment or exhibition going on in the atrium and there are deck chairs on fake grass outside, to sit on to take in live music from the Emerging Icons Stage in the summer months, there is really something for everyone.
The Westfield Shopping has all the favourite High Street stores, department stores like Marks and Spencer, Debenhams and House of Fraser as well The Village which has numerous designer brand outlets – if that’s your thing. It is cool in the summer and warm in the winter and you don’t have to worry about if it is raining as it is all in door.
Westfield is fully wheelchair friendly/accessible. There are large number wheelchair accessible facilities (toilets) around the shopping centre none of which are shared with baby changing facilities (The baby changing facilities are excellent they have play rooms with baby changing, nursing areas and parent and child toilets), as well as the ones located in the restaurants and bars (which are shared with baby changing facilities). They really thought of everything when they built Westfield Shopping Centre, if only everywhere was like this…
